ACTx

ACTx™ increases confidence in structural data for uranium deposit modelling

Location: Athabasca Basin, Canada

Resource Company: Skyharbour Resources Ltd

Project: Russell Lake

Application: Structural modelling for uranium exploration

Key Benefits

  • Accurate core orientation and stringent marking guides minimise errors and increase marking quality
  • Embedded QA/QC checks for every measurement delivers reliable data for detailed deposit modelling
  • Fast, safe workflow at the drill rig
  • Cloud-based data management enables immediate review in the core shed

The Challenge: Improving confidence in structural data for uranium exploration

Uranium exploration relies primarily on structural data to develop models and targets, as ore bands tend to be relatively thin. It is therefore essential for geologists to have high confidence in their structural data, including in core orientation.

Skyharbour adopted the ACTx digital core orientation solution to improve the accuracy and reliability of their core orientations whilst minimising errors in orientation marks.

  • ACTx is very reliable and accurate. It was great to see lots of 0 betas in the core shack, as well as having the QA/QC data in HUB-IQ.
