Drilling fluids are pumped from the collar of the drill hole to the recycling unit. The fluid is then run through a screen that is attached to the shaker basket.

This screen will remove the coarser cuttings. The finer cuttings and fluid are then passed through the desander and desilter cones, which will remove solids down to a particle size of ~50 micron. Solids that are removed from the unit are dry, and are able to be directly off loaded into a bin and disposed of when required.
