Palmerejo Property, Chihuahua. Situated within the Sierra Madre Occidental mountain range, this project in the Temoris District covers approximately 11,955 hectares, has identified several targets with high grade results. Initial surface and underground mapping began in August 2003. With outstanding results, drilling commenced November 2003. By November 2004, 3.1 M oz Au Eq. on inferred resource was reported. The mineralization contained is two district structures, "La Prieta" and "La Blanca". The structures are known to extend for 2,000m and 1,300m respectively; with the resource contained within a drilled portion of 700m at La Prieta and 800m at La Blanca. Within each of the structures, a number of high grade zones, known as "clavos", have been identified. These "clavos" contain the majority of the gold/silver mineralization.
Outside of the main Palmarejo deposit, the company has an extensive land position surrounding Palmarejo, known as the Trogan Exploration area. This area contains a number of small adits and shafts from past producing mines similar to Palmarejo. These prospects are currently under investigation by Palmarejo's exploration teams. Palmarejo Gold will undertake a proactive and vigorous approach to explore and develop the Palmarejo project and Trogan Exploration area. A program of in-fill and expansion drilling is underway at Palmarejo; along with metallurgical and engineering studies.
